How to Boil Crab

​​In a large pot, bring 10-12 quarts of water to a boil. 

Add 3 cups of rock salt and 3 whole LIVE crab to the pot and bring to a boil. 

Continue boiling for 18 more minutes. ​

Carefully remove crab, place in an ice bath, ​and allow the cooking process to stop.

 ​Crack it open and smother in melted butter. ​

*Generally 1 cup rock salt per crab
